(Day 23) 22nd April - Effective Communication

Before messaging the team member and my tutor, I conferred with Hannah to see what she thought. I knew I was going to message but I was interested in a second opinion. Hannah agreed I should messaged and offered wording, a way to approach this and then message the tutor. However, I felt like I was just going to message anyway and I did. I messaged my team member at the same time.

After exchanging a few messages, the team assured me the topic is not the same. Saying, "I am certainly inspired by yours but never in my life would I do the same topic". She also said "I know you have worked hard and you deserve all the credits for that. I am glad you directly asked me and clarified. It's better that way than keep misunderstanding". After talking, I was unsure if I should have messaged our tutor, was it too rash? However, I am basing this on trust that my team member is speaking the truth, which I think she is. Our tutor being aware was a safety measure at the least. I also asked for future tutorials in person.
